Im embarrassed by many of the aggressive negatively critical posts here.

ANet listens to players and make updates to attempt to improve gameplay and balance overall...and not only that, they communicate this fact to us for feedback, advising us that the changes will be in place for a week and then reassessed...

Yet all that quite a number of you can do is post rude, ignorant, selfish or downright nonsense posts....?

You have something special here..potential direct access to and from ANet staff... dont waste or spoil that.
Do you really want Anet staff to become completely disillusioned with you?

This is supposed to be a fan site... think before you post.

edit - Agreed with Patrick Smit's words below. Spam in Trade channel shouldnt be tolerated, just as it shouldnt be tolerated in localchat.

Yes,because Anet's always listened to us since the release of Prophecies.

Thats why were getting trading improvments now and not a year and so ago right? Not to mention, its a terrible way of actually fixing it,because they won't listen to the fans that are asking for the Party Search character limit to be increased.

They totally listen to us.

And yesitsrob, Mokone said that no one will ever care about the buffs to the skills he referred to, and yet I do, especially in the case of Warrior's Endurance, and I am one, therefore, he was wrong, at the very least in that specific generalizing statement.

Except Warriors Endurance is still pretty bad. Things that would make it useful would be some IAS or Speed Boost, or make it a "Skill", not a stance. It allows you to spam skills like Power Attack and Protector's Strike. But really, it's not that effective. And it has little to do with it's duration

Maybe Izzy is tryng to break "pro-nerf whining" based metagame.

The more you whine, the less likely you will be to recieve desire nerfs. (besides, if they wanted Ensign or Tyiuri to ballance game, they would hire them fulltime).

Anyway, i love that fact that there were no radical nerfs (sans armor stacking)

Paragons were still weakened (defensive anthem, armorstacking)
Hexway was weakened (mantra of persistence, buffs on other skills were only to make nerf hit less hard)
Spirit spamers were weakened (no more energy from other people spirits.)
Recall splits were weakened.

Your despised builds might not have gotten nuked, but they didnt come unscratched either.

ok so you nerfed spiritway which is never played in halls anymore, you buffed rit spike which is already overpowered and overplayed in halls, didnt touch searing flames or iway which are even more overplayed overpowered and screaming for a nerf bc theyre played by talentless fame farmers, took anti mele away from necros, destroyed yet another paragon elite-ynot just remove all non spear mastery elites right now and save people some time and trouble, good work you just made ha even less enjoyable, i look forward to continuing to face sf noobs, and begin facing rit spikes and iways that are harder to counter bc of the increased duration of vital weapon and the ease with which iways can now D-chop DefAntem, and oh yea you forgot to nerf hex overload builds so now in addition to sf theres another heroway build that survived the update, no wonder ha is emptier every day, heros are the only ones willing to put up with this crap, GFG

Mantra of Persistence nerf vs Conjure Phantasm + Sig Humility Buff.

Hexway is stronger. Humility was hard enough to interrupt through hexes + aegis. You'll very much struggle to Shock or Gale it now.

introduction of auction house = reduction of trade spam.

I think it is a nice update, I might play my mesmer more, and I like the buffs to wells. Go a-net.

Humility disables just 1 skill on one target with a reasonably long recharge its far from overpowered, Maybe you shouldnt be so dependant on ur Elite skills .

Yesitsrob, I am thinking up builds right now that might use warriors endurance, and maybe they will suck, maybe they won't, thats not the point. The point is you came to the defense of Mokone and said I was wrong when in truth I was right that Mokone made a generalization that all players would not care about the buffs to the warrior and ele that was wrong and arrogant. It does not matter if the skills mentioned still might suck, the point is that Mokone was wrong in his generalization, and you were wrong in your defense of him, because Mokone was not right in his generalization of all GW players. Face the truth, I won't hold it against you that you rushed to say I was wrong.

If you guys won't acknowledge/ won't consider the tweaks we made to the new SR...what are the odds you'll give us more/better in house bar-able energy management skills tied to Soul Reaping? How about curse/blood energy management skills? Right now death w/ consume corpse has arguably the best in class e-management that doesn't eat an elite slot.

Currently there are 4 skills (correct me if I am wrong here folks)

Offering of Blood (blood elite)
Consume Corpse (death)
Reaper's Mark (SR elite)
Signet of Lost Souls (SR)

Pretty slim pickings if I want to stay in-class, or if I want to use my elite for something else, or if I don't play death, or if I don't own Nightfall...in fact that just eliminated all of them...

*Beguiling Haze has been one of my fave Elites since it was last buffed, despite such little return for a large investment .. thought I was the only one to use it ~ so can expect some company now:}
*nerfing Return is a step in the right direction, but I think a more elegant solution would be to swap its description with Shadow Meld, see if it's worth an Elite slot for those who've abused it .. and Shadow Meld as nonElite might actually see some use ~
*lookin forwards to playin w/ Expunge & SiphonStrength :}
*of the nonSin stuff .. most of it makes sense ~ improving CripShot's spammability is the most promising thing here, tho can't see it ever replacing Burning/BroadHead as the Elite ~
*shall have fun testin out all these changes :}

Great more nerfs, armour stacks gone, love playing an earth tank and now that is ruined, why should pve players suffer because of pvp, make pvp versions of the skills how about that? Don't ruin the game for people who enjoy pve and casual soloing because of pvp , split the two.

Its over 2 years so whats the point now of chaging it, let it be, warriors with doylack, watch yourself and defy pain can be usefull sometimes, please don't make these armour stack nerfs stay.

Those Monk skills-pointless IMO.

Crippling Shot-excellent buff.
SS was only recently reduced to 10 energy. I was very happy about it, but 15 seems more fair for this skill

PVE Related

The armor stacking nerf will seriously hurt those of us trying to get the vanquishing titles. Most groups require the massive amounts of armor stacking just to survive the first minute of battle with the overpowered under-thought out mobs in HM and DoA. This nerf is to excessive, tanks can no longer tank in HM and you just made every monks job that much harder in the Elite areas, DoA & HM.

Monk energy management:

Blessed Signet
Scribe's Insight
Zealous Benediction
Peace and Harmony
Healing Light

4 are elite, the other one requires you to have huge numbers of maintained enchantments to be effective, and the only playable one is Zealous Benediction.

Oh, and the only core one is Blessed Signet, the most inflexible one.

Monks would KILL to get something as good as SoLS.

On the one hand removing the ability of Obsid tank/dervish to be effective in DoA is going to force people to think outside the box to beat the areas. Possibly even opening up the door to including more classes outside the holy trinity.

I know they'll never tell us, but surely when the DoA was designed they had a particular team build in mind that could beat the area. I don't think the setup everyone runs the "balanced DoA" is exactly what they had in mind.

OOH, ya, I didn't think about that, but Red-Tide made a valid point. Nerfing armor buffs could seriously screw DoA and HM players, another reason to seriously reconsider that nerf. If these armor buffs are too powerful in PvP, make skills that can remove them.

...

*Throws one more Paragon elite into the PVE trash bin*

Oh wait, the bin is full.

And to think I was expecting some major changes/buffs in PVE for Paragons. And now thanks to the armor stack nerf, I can't even run SYG + WY on one bar anymore in PVE. So a 100% adrenaline cap, a +25 armor cap...what next?
